Safe Computing In the Wireless Home
Today's home mirrors the connected workplace. Young and old use the Internet in their daily lives, bandwidth access is an accepted fact of life. Friends, schoolmates, and others also visit and inevitably have needs for network access. It is as unthinking a need as using the phone for a local call. Unlike a quick phone call, network access is potentially far more dangerous. A child's laptop or music player can become the source of a dangerous cyber-infection. This presentation will explain the challenges of the connected family and what precautions need to be taken to ensure that sensitive personal information does not get compromised by a child's classmates infected system.
